The HSPVA Instrumental Guild is a volunteer parent organization that assists with fundraising and enhancement programs for the Kinder HSPVA Instrumental Music Department. The Instrumental Guild is a part of HSPVA Friends, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The Kinder HSPVA Instrumental Department is made up of 200 students in our award-winning Band, Jazz, Mariachi, Piano, and String Programs. Our mission is to provide students rigorous musical training as a whole musician, fostering an appreciation for the arts, guiding them on their journey towards graduation and post-graduation studies as future performers and arts advocates.
Our primary aim is to promote to a maximum degree the musical intelligence and potential of each student through active participation in all genres of music in large and small ensemble settings, group and individual technical instruction, and interaction with performing artists. In addition to the development of musical skills, students learn positive, professional work ethics, becoming responsible citizens.
